Understanding Roles and Permissions
What the different user roles can do, why you might not be seeing certain forms, and how to request a role change.
User roles in Safety Mojo
|
Role |
What they can do |
|
Super Admin |
Full access to all forms, users, projects, and settings across the account. Can manage other users' roles and permissions. |
|
Full User / Admin |
Can submit forms, view submissions, and manage settings within their assigned projects. May have additional toggleable permissions. |
|
Safety Professional |
Typically a GC safety rep or third-party safety consultant. Access to specific forms assigned to this role, such as safety audits and executive observations. |
|
Observer / End User |
Can submit forms and view their own submissions. Limited visibility into other users' data. |
|
Foreman |
Can fill out and submit forms for their crew. Access is typically limited to their assigned project. |
|
INFO Role names and what each role can access may vary slightly depending on how your account has been configured. If you're unsure what role you have, check your profile or contact your admin. |
Why you might not be able to see certain forms
Your role doesn't include that form
Some forms are only available to certain roles. If a form you need isn't showing up, ask your admin whether it needs to be added to your role.
You're not assigned to the right project
Users only see forms and data for the projects they're assigned to. If you can't see a form or submissions you expect to see, check with your admin that you've been added to the correct project.
Division or Project fields not auto-populating
If fields like Division and Project are blank when you open a new form, it usually means one of these things:
- Your profile doesn't have a default Division or Project set. Ask your admin to check your profile settings.
- You're assigned to multiple projects and the system isn't sure which to default to. Try selecting the project manually the first time.
- This is a known intermittent issue on some form types. If it happens consistently, report it to support with the form name and your account.
Super Admin can't see all observations
Being a Super Admin doesn't automatically show you all data if your profile is also assigned to a specific Division or Project — those assignments can act as filters. If you're a Super Admin and seeing gaps in data, check whether your profile has project assignments that might be limiting your view, and contact support if needed.
Requesting a role change
- Identify the correct role you need (see the table above).
- Contact your account's Super Admin and ask them to update your role.
- If your Super Admin doesn't know how to change a role, they can contact support at support@getmojo.ai.
|
NOTE Support staff cannot change your role without authorization from your account's admin. Role changes always need to be requested through your own organization first. |
Removing access for a user who has left
If someone has left your organization and needs to be removed from Safety Mojo, a Super Admin can deactivate or remove their account from the User Directory. For a full removal, contact support@getmojo.ai with the user's name and email address.
Need help?
For role changes, contact your account's Super Admin. For account-level permission questions or issues you can't resolve through the admin panel, email support@getmojo.ai with the user's name, current role, and what access they need.
