Form submission errors: what to do when your form won't submit
Forms showing errors, spinning wheels, or getting stuck in a queue — here's how to troubleshoot.
Common submission errors
|
Error message |
What it usually means |
|
"Please check your submissions" |
A required field is empty or has an invalid value. Scroll through the form to find highlighted fields. |
|
Blue spinning wheel that doesn't stop |
The form is waiting on a network response. Often caused by a weak or intermittent connection. |
|
White/blank screen after tapping Submit |
The app lost connectivity mid-submit. The form may not have saved — check your submissions list. |
|
App closes or crashes on submit |
Can happen when large photos are attached. Try reducing image size or submitting without photos first. |
|
"Submission stuck in queue" |
The form is saved locally and will sync when connectivity is restored. |
Step-by-step troubleshooting
1. Check for required fields
The most common cause of submission errors is a missed required field. Scroll through the entire form — required fields are typically marked and will be highlighted when empty. Fill in or correct any flagged fields and try submitting again.
2. Check your connection
Safety Mojo requires an active internet connection to submit. Even when you're on Wi-Fi, the signal may be too weak in some areas (basements, remote job sites). Try:
- Moving to an area with a stronger signal.
- Switching between Wi-Fi and mobile data.
- Closing and reopening the app, then attempting to submit again.
|
TIP If you're in an area with no connectivity, your completed forms are saved locally and will submit automatically once you're back in range. Do not close the app or delete the form. |
3. Save as draft and retry
If a form is giving you an error, tap Save as Draft before closing. Come back to it once you have a better connection or have resolved the issue. A saved draft will not be lost.
4. Try web instead of the app (or vice versa)
Some issues are specific to the mobile app or a particular browser. If the form won't submit on the app, try web.safetymojo.ai in Chrome or Safari. If the web version is having issues, try the app.
5. Photo-related crashes
If the form submits fine without photos but crashes or errors when you add them:
- Submit the form first without the photos.
- Add photos to the submitted form afterward via the edit/update function.
- Avoid using HEIC format (the default on iPhones) — convert to JPEG first, or take the photo directly in the app rather than uploading from your camera roll.
6. Check the submissions list
After a failed or uncertain submission, check your submissions list before submitting again. Duplicate submissions can occur if you submit multiple times when the form appears stuck.
If none of the above helps
Contact support at support@getmojo.ai with the following information:
- The name of the form you're trying to submit.
- The exact error message you're seeing (a screenshot is very helpful).
- Whether the issue happens on the app, web, or both.
- Your device type and operating system version.
- Whether you're on Wi-Fi or mobile data when the error occurs.
